13/18 Royal Hussars (QMO)

Ashworth Barracks Museum is proud to have opened an area of the museum dedicated to the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (QMO) regiment.
As South Yorkshire was a major recruiting area for the regiment since its formation in 1922, we feel it is important that the regiment maintaines a local presence and its heritage is shared.

The 13th/18th Royal Hussars (Queen Mary's Own) was a cavalry regiment of the British Army. It was formed by the amalgamation of the 13th Hussars and the 18th Royal Hussars in 1922 and, after service in the Second World War, it amalgamated with the 15th/19th The King's Royal Hussars to form the Light Dragoons in 1992.
Entrance to the 'Lilywhite Gallery' is FREE OF CHARGE, donations can be made to the drum fund can be made in the gallery.

The Lilywhite Gallery is supported & funded by the 13th/18th Royal Hussars (QMO) Heritage Association
